1. The plant relies on abiotic factors such as the soil, sunlight, and water intake. Some biotic factors the plant relies on are animals not eating the plant, people watering the plant, and other plants not blocking our plant.
2. We can tell our plant is competing with other plants as it grows it's leaves to soak in more sunlight. It also competes with other plants because they are in close proximity with each other.
3. A plant "wins" when it outgrows the other plants it is competing with.
5. Succession occurs in the garden when old plants are replaced by new ones. This is more like secondary succession because the soil is left behind in the garden when the plants are taken out.
