Assignment 6

1. Our plant uses the energy gained from photosynthesis to grow in biomass. Cellular respiration also plays a big part in helping the plant grow, creating ATP and releasing waste. Using this energy for mitosis, parent cells in our plant split to create sister cells, increasing the biomass of the plant.

2. PEPC and RuBisCo are both enzymes that are made by the cell itself. To make PEPC and RuBisCo, the ribosomes in the cell translate a certain sequence of amino acids from genetic material. It then combines with other cofactors such as lipids and other materials found in proteins.
